The Hunger Games Trailer.
I’m on the second book of this trilogy, Catching Fire, and I literally can’t put the books down. If you don’t already know about the series, it is about a world that has been destroyed and made into 12 Districts under the rule of one Capital. Each year the Capitol holds The Hunger Games, which is where two members of each district are nominated to compete against each other for survival. Only one person can win, and they fight to the death. I can’t remember the last book I read, if ever, where the story was incredible from the first page to the last. I always get nervous when a movie comes out based on a book because (and I know I sound like one of those annoying people who always say “the book was better” (and I do often say that) but it’s 99% true) I am afraid the characters they cast won’t be as great as the ones I made up in my mind while reading. The great thing is that two of the main characters, Katniss and Gale, have been cast perfectly. The only problem I’m having is who they cast as Peeta, another contestant in the games and the other main character. In the book they describe him as this strong, tall, gorgeous man, but I don’t think who they cast fits his personality. Ah, tis a game of compromise. I still can’t wait for the film.
